Oops!

UPDATE HERE

Gun-toting, flag-waving, Bible-holding conservative woman and her doppelgänger.

She didn't see this one coming, did she:

People like her are never self-aware. They're the same sort of people who howl about President Obama imposing Sharia law on the U.S.A., and then act like the very people they fear.

O the humanity!

Sharia law, if it comes to America will neither be by Obama or characters like the women in the picture.

It will be the collective result of of willful blindness on many fronts. IMO.

Is there some way we can put all the Christian and Muslim violent religious crackpot on a useless island somewhere to blow each other up and leave the rest of us in peace?

Lacking in self-awareness, they break mirrors too.

Best answer by RN. We are almost 1/3 the way there

Never in my adult life have I seen such idiocy

What's the problem? Do you have something against women and the 2nd Amendment?

OCTO's reference to broken mirrors reminded me that a periodic review of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen, A Tale in Seven Staves, could do much to shed light on the distortions and dreary doctrinaire formulaic thinking that keep us furiously engaged in "confused alarums of struggle and flight" as weary foot solders in the "ignorant armies that clash by night."

As is so often the case, there is more TRUTH in Art, Music, Poetry, Literature and Drama than may be found in any dry recital of mere facts and figures.

Literary lights such as Hans Christian Andersen understand us far better than we do ourselves, and give us many clues as to how we might best improve and refine our approach to the Art of Living

Against menacing religious cranks, more like.

If they both want government based on religion, they are both bad.
If they both are prepared to kill for their religion, they are both bad.
If they both think only the gun can secure their goals, they are both bad.

First picture must be of a Republican clinging to her gun and religion. Some guy on Slate says this comment by Obama was "patronizing" and as bad as Romney's 47 percent comment (an assertion I disagree with).

Although the Slate writer does note that "Obama tells his audience not to write off any group. He recommends humility and openness. Even in the most unlikely neighborhoods, among people of every background, he tells his volunteers they'll find supporters".

This is the difference between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats reach out to people while Republicans work to divide them.

D.S., yes, that is the difference. Obama understood why people would cling to their guns and religion; Romney had nothing but contempt for the same sort of down-trodden folks.
